The Raymond Allen Ryan Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded December 2019, in memory of my grandfather, Raymond Allen Ryan Jr (Al) who passed away in May 2019.
Al was a member of the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company for 66 Years. He held many positions with the highest being Fire Chief. He also served as Chief of Susquehanna Job Corp at the Bainbridge Naval Training Center, in Port Deposit, Md. He owned "Ryan's Sunoco" located in Perryville, Md. Al was very involved with his community and promoting Fire Prevention awareness. He was a role model and teacher.
Al was an avid golfer. When he retired, he spent his time working and playing at Furnace Bay Golf Course. He loved to talk with the golfers and give advice on how to improve their game. He enjoyed spending his time on the course with his son's.

Vision Statement: Our vision is to provide a minimum of one (1) scholarship each year to students looking to further their academic pursuits while promoting community service.
